Update 8:40pm: Jon Heyman is tweeting that the Dodgers and Cubs are still debating the prospects in the proposed deal.

Update 6:23pm: Ken Rosenthal tweets Zach Lee will not be part of the Dempster deal. A lot of speculation that it is Garrett Gould and Chris Withrow. Nothing confirmed yet.

Bruce Levine of ESPN is reporting the Dodgers have an offer on the table for Ryan Dempster. Unfortunately, no word yet on which players the Dodgers are including in their offer, or if a deal is close.

The Cubs have Casey Coleman traveling to St. Louis to join the club in preparation for a Dempster trade. Dempster is scheduled to make his next start on Friday. This could very well indicate a trade could be close. I would expect to have more news pour through over the next few hours. Stay tuned.
