The Dodgers have their eye on many pitchers, starters and relievers, such as Ted Lilly, Roy Oswalt, Dan Haren, Jake Westbrook, and Fausto Carmona. They are also interested in Blue Jays relievers Kevin Gregg, Scott Downs, and Jason Frasor. The Dodgers have been in need of a consistent 5th starter all year and their bullpen hasn’t been much help with Ronald Belisario currently on the restricted list and George Sherrill not doing exactly what was expected.
As the second half of the season is just beginning, Ned Colletti is trying to get the bullpen improved before the Dodgers are too far behind to get a shot at the playoffs, as they are 6 games back of the Padres and still behind the Giants and Rockies. Hopefully Colletti can get something to happen before things get worse.
