399 games is a long time. 2,632 is just a few more. Matt Kemp who injured his left hamstring running out a grounder on Sunday’s win over the Colorado Rockies might not be present for his 400th appearance. Before Dodgertown and the the media (which is already)
freak out, do not panic. While hamstring injuries can linger, so can Kemp’s belief that he will be a 50/50 man. Look for Kemp to do everything he can to be in the game on Monday and going forward. He knows as well as the rest of us that he is an essential piece to the Dodgers amazing start of the season. A day off might not be a bad thing, Kemp, who has been slumping at the plate as of late is just 8/40 over the last two weeks with 1 homer, 4 RBIs and batting an unhealthy .200. Ripken would still be proud.
