The Dodgers have announced that their lights out closer Kenley Jansen may return this season. Jansen was shut down after he experienced a recurrence is his heart condition that caused him to miss time last season. Jansen has been placed on blood thinning medication and he should be able to return to the bullpen on the 18th. Jansen threw a bullpen Wednesday and experienced no issues.
Jansen also took a sleep apnea test Wednesday night at a premier testing facility to see if there is any relation between his sleep patterns and his irregular heartbeat. No results on the testing have been released yet.
Jansen will be traveling with the team to San Francisco as he makes preparations to get back in the swing of things after the huge scare.
