I don’t know how many of you heard this story, but ESPN Los Angeles reporter Arash Markazi recently reported that in the Dodgers clubhouse Shane Victorino had some words to share with James Loney and anyone else in the clubhouse who was listening. Shane said, “You MFers better show up earlier”.

Now I know there are going to be some people who are going to say “who died and made him a captain?” I personally love that Shane stood up and said what he clearly felt needed to be said. We need more guys with Shane’s mentality. I don’t know about you guys but personally I am now a big Shane Victorino supporter.

Mark Saxon of ESPNLA recently reported that Victorino has already committed to re-signing with the Dodgers long-term. He has already informed his agents of his desire to stay in Dodger blue for a long time. The question is, is the feeling mutual? Cast your vote in the new poll and let’s see what you all think.

  1. Hey just a couple questions man what are we going to do with Puig when he comes up next year and Victorino is still in left field and another question is what  do  you think about the Dee Gordon situation. Keep Cruz in the lineup or put Dee back in there when he returns.

  2. I don’t think the Dodgers are counting on Puig for next year quite yet. Probably have a better clue after Arizona Fall League in a couple months. Puig is going to have some adjustments in the MLB, he’s not going to pop on the scene and be Vlad Guerrero overnight.Dee needs as much playing time as possible, plus his speed is too valuable. I think we will see a rotation of Ellis, Cruz, and Gordon between 2B/SS over the last couple months. As long as Cruz is playing well you gotta play the kid. If Gordon sits on the bench it won’t allow him to grow a whole lot, so that’s the predicament Mattingly will be faced with.
